I’m an experienced Accessory Designer based in Bangalore, INDIA. My work is focused on producing quality work and making a significant impact. I’m happy to apply the experience and skills I’ve obtained in my career in order to manage projects through creative problem solving and innovative thinking. LEATHER AND NON LEATHER PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT:
Primarily Leather products & accessories (Men)
Extensive research & survey
Leather, trims, lining, fittings etc. procurement/ selection/development
Vendor development, Sourcing, active participation in product development, till pre-production stage, coordination & follow up
Attending meeting with vendors for product development and understanding their product and production constrains.
First cut sample approval to PP sample approval.
Attending fares for developing vendor base, and sourcing for new and interesting materials.
Documentation, creation of Tech-Pack, sampling and creation of deviation report
Packaging Design & product communication/ specifications
POS / brand counters Design & development with the team
COMMUNICATION & BRAND BUILDING:
Active participation in designs & discussion for writing Instruments, Belts, Cufflinks, and any new initiatives for LB
Briefing, review and feedback to agency for LB related communication material
Concept layouts for photoshoot
TREND RESEARCH & VISIONING
Keeping self as well as the team abreast with latest developments in areas of Men’s accessories & retail innovations
Creating trend presentation every 6 months
To adhere to the design development calendar published & to ensure commercial success of the product – as defined by the budgeted sale for the new product/ range etc
To propose, for leather, leather goods, non leather goods, proper storage, handling and QC plan for ware house.
To help and train the ware house staff on handling LB products (predominantly leather).
Create the QC list for the leather products, received and dispatched from the warehouse, as well as from the vendor’s warehouse and ensure the implementation of the same along with other team members.
Understanding the retails scenario in India and developing insights into buying patterns, purchase triggers, competition - predominantly for products related to men. Developing knowledge of newer materials/ combinations with leather, fittings/ details which could be explored for LB

MATTEL BRANDS (Hotwheels, Fisher Price), Doraemon, in-house brand Eteenz.
- Designing complete Footwear Range of Kids, flip-flop, shoe and sandal line for above mentioned brands.
- Product selection & range building for the upcoming launch seasons.
- Selecting and coordinating with factories for sourcing of the product based on the planned product line from various approved factories.
- Ensure practical interpretation of design without the loss of the original concept, giving due consideration to the materials used, product cost, product construction, feasibility and manufacturing practicality.
- Develop new or existing trims / logos / packaging etc for each category as appropriate.
- Compiling the technical product specification sheets in order to guide the factories.
-To compile and provide updated buy forms and seasonal catalogues to sales team for regular selling.
- Co-ordination with factories for developments and maintaining regular track for the same sheets on regular basis in co-ordination with licensing manager.
- Coordinating with sales team/ key account for any Merchandising related queries.
- Preparing purchase orders, margin sheets, and item masters.
